Nokia Sensor Application Brings Personal Pages to Phones

Nokia today introduced the Nokia Sensor, a phone software application that offers a new, exciting way for people to create information and share it with other phone users nearby. With Nokia Sensor, users can create personal pages on their phone, including text and graphics. Nokia Sensor users can also check out the pages of other Sensor users in their vicinity, exchange messages and share files with them. The Nokia Sensor application works over Bluetooth wireless technology, providing connectivity within a range of up to 10 meters from the mobile device. Nokia Sensor is free of charge.

Nokia Sensor is now available for a number of Nokia products including the Nokia 3230, 6260, 6600, 6620, 6630, 6670, 6680, 6681, 6682, and 7610. Toshiba Prides its Smallest Hard Disk Drive

Toshiba Corp.- Japanese electronics manufacturer will release a 4-gigabyte hard disk drive that can turn new cell phones into hand-held recording studios. At 0.85 inch, it is the world's smallest hard disk drive, company sources said. It will be able to store more than 1,000 songs, about the same capacity as Apple Computer, Inc.'s popular iPod mini, the Asahi Shimbun reported Monday.

Mobile phones incorporating the hard disk drives are expected to be marketed by autumn, sources said. The memory capacity is about 100 times that of memory chips conventionally used in mobile phones. Two drives can be installed, for a total of 8 gigabytes. However, Toshiba plans to increase the capacity of a single drive to 8 gigabytes, the sources said.

Sony PS3 to Launch Without a Hard Drive?

Listen up play station gamers out there, i have the latest buzz for you about Sony Play Station 3. It was rumored that instead of the new Sony Playstation 3 would come with an integrated hard drive, there might be another strategy.

Speaking in the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Famitsu, Sony Computer Entertainment's chief technology officer Masayuki Chatani says the company has "not decided" whether they would include a hard disk drive in the Sony Playstation 3 package to be launch next spring.

Chatani also added that users may want to add or upgrade their own hard drives for larger storage than Sony could offer - implicating doubts that hard drives would be a part of the overall package for the PlayStation 3 launch.

Star Wars: Episode III Leakage Spread in the Internet

The final chapter of the saga has gone over the internet's dark side. According to the source, Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith has been leaked onto a major file-sharing network just hours after opening in theatres. Copies of the film which was first shown in theatres earlier have been posted to the BitTorrent file-sharing network – a new and increasingly popular technology that allows users to download larger files much more quickly.

According to website Waxy.org, a print was leaked and the movie was watermarked with timecodes on every frame, the workprint was made available as a DVD-R by a pirate group named VISA (interesting huh?). I wonder when the DVD or HDTV version is coming out. Any idea folks?

Note: I have watched the (real)movie and no doubt it was excellent(two thumbs up to George Lucas)! Besides, nothing beats the original.:)
